As the Senior Data Analyst for Newark Alliance, Javier leverages his expertise in data science and urban planning to lead data analysis and management initiatives. He integrates statistical and geospatial techniques to uncover actionable insights, create compelling data visualizations, and develop predictive models that inform strategic planning and policy impact assessments for Newark.

Javier began working in Newark in 2022, collaborating with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and the City of Newark on projects such as the Newark Liberty International Airport redevelopment plan and geospatial analysis for the Newark 360 Master Plan.

Passionate about integrating data science into urban development, Javier is committed to advancing equitable solutions that drive economic growth and enhance quality of life for Newark residents. Outside of work, Javier enjoys long runs and exploring new cafes. He holds a BA from Columbia University and an MS in Urban Spatial Analytics from the University of Pennsylvania.
