Secured $300,000 grant from Horizon Foundation to aid the city in its COVID-19 relief efforts

Secured $750,000 two-year grant from the NJ State Department of Cultural Affairs to carry out the work of Newark 2020, remove systemic recruitment barriers, and ensure Newark residents secure employment opportunities within the city’s corporate and anchor institutions.


Newark Alliance, and its key partners including Ironbound Community Corporation, La Casa de Don Pedro, New Community Corporation, Urban League and Newark Works, successfully help place over 2020 residents in jobs within the city’s anchor institutions and corporation as part of the signature Newark 2020 initiative.
